The Khatma app does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
The app keeps the following on your device only: reading progress and khatmas, bookmarks, memorization records, quiz results, and settings (such as colors and reminders). This data never leaves your device through the app and is removed when you delete the app. It may be included in your device backup (iCloud or computer), which Apple manages according to your settings.
The app works fully offline except for one feature: recitation playback. When you play an ayah, the audio is streamed from everyayah.com. Like any internet connection, that request carries ordinary connection information (such as your IP address) to that site; we do not control its practices, so please review its policy. We operate no servers of our own and nothing passes through us.
Reading reminders are optional and are scheduled locally on your device after you grant permission. You can turn them off in the app or in the device Settings at any time.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children or adults.
If any of the above changes, we will update this page and its date.
